 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gorgeous lodge, the little details really went along way from the welcome basket to the neon sign on the feature wall outside. The location is lovely, we enjoyed a few walks around as there is many public footpaths nearby which lead to beautiful walks.
It is a self check in place which we find convenient, we were welcomed on our first day but very private from then on which we personally appreciate when staying in these sorts of places.
The lodge was spotless and the lake views from the hot tub speaks for themselves!
We really enjoyed our stay our only fault is we found the bed not very comfortable, it was a very hard mattress which we struggled to sleep on at first but nothing to ruin our stay.
Also maybe some kitchen roll in the kitchen just as an extra for cleaning up after ourselves.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We stayed in the Spindle cottage with our border collie for a week whilst helping out a new business in Tamworth, 20 min away.
The instructions on arrival were clear and the cottage was spotless with a lovely welcome pack.

We had no hot water on arrival and the manager was with us in minutes to look into it and we found him helpful on our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay and the hot tub was lovely at the end of a long day.

Thete were a couple of things that could be improved to make our stay better and I mentioned them to the manager.

The view from the cottage was lovely,  when you open the curtains people walking up the path can see straight in, making tea in my PJs was a little revealing, a voile would help, let the light in but a bit of privacy.

Spindle only has a cover/roof over the hot tub not the full deck, we were there during a very wet week and two dripping wet adults and a wet grassy, muddy dog going into the cottage leaves a mess!  There is no where to hang wet coats. With only a hand brush to clear up it was a battle.  I would book a cottage with the full cover.

A washing machine on site would be a great help too.

We enjoyed our stay and all the staff we met were really helpful. The guide book was helpful too and we used some of the recommendations for a meal out.

We'd stay there again if we were down that way and we have recommended it to friends
