Terms and Conditions for 2 Night Giveaway Competition
1. PROMOTER
This competition is organised by Steam Mill Lodges, a company registered in England and Wales, with registered address at Steam Mill Lodges, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. Website: https://steam-mill-lodges.co.uk/ (the “Promoter”).
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
2.3 People can enter more than once. Each unique tag of a different person in the comments counts as a separate entry. There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
2.4 Entrants must be able to take up the prize within the validity period specified in these terms.
3. ENTRY PERIOD
3.1 The competition opens at 12:00 noon on Sunday, 4th January and closes at 11:59pm on Saturday, 31st January.
3.2 Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be eligible.
4. HOW TO ENTER
4.1 To enter the competition, people must complete all of the following steps: (1) follow @SteamMillLodges, (2) like the giveaway post, (3) tag someone in the comments (each tag counts as one entry), and (4) share the post to their Instagram story.
4.2 All entry requirements must be completed during the Entry Period.
4.3 Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
4.4 The competition will be promoted and entries will be accepted via all official Steam Mill Lodges social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Entry requirements and methods will be clearly detailed in the competition posts on each platform.
5. THE PRIZE
5.1 The prize consists of a two (2) night stay for two (2) adults at Steam Mill Lodges in a lodge accommodation.
5.2 The prize includes:
- Accommodation for two nights
- Access to private hot tub
- Standard lodge amenities as per the Promoter’s website
5.3 The prize does not include:
- Travel to and from the accommodation
- Meals or additional services
- Any personal expenses
- Travel insurance
5.4 The total approximate value of the prize varies depending on the lodge and dates chosen, ranging from £430 to £665.
5.5 The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternative is available.
6. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS
6.1 The prize is subject to availability and must be booked and taken within 6 months of the winner being notified.
6.2 The stay is subject to the Promoter’s standard Terms and Conditions available at https://steam-mill-lodges.co.uk/.
6.3 The accommodation is adults-only. No persons under 18 years of age are permitted.
6.4 Once the booking dates are booked and confirmed, they are locked in and cannot be changed or amended by the winner. No rescheduling, amendments, or cancellations are permitted for giveaway prize bookings.
6.5 The prize cannot be used during peak periods including but not limited to: Valentine’s week, Easter week, Christmas and New Year period (23 December – 2 January), and summer peak dates as determined by the Promoter.
6.6 Weekend stays are subject to limited availability and may require flexible dates. All weekend stays must start on a Friday.
7. WINNER SELECTION
7.1 One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period.
7.2 The winner will be selected within 7 days of the competition closing date.
7.3 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. WINNER NOTIFICATION
8.1 The winner will be announced and contacted directly from the official Steam Mill Lodges social media page on the platform through which they entered, within 7 days of selection.
8.2 The winner must respond and claim their prize within 14 days of initial contact.
8.3 If the winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim the prize within the specified timeframe, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8.4 The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity related to the competition.
9. GENERAL TERMS
9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and disqualify any entrant who breaches these terms and conditions.
9.2 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the competition at any time due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
9.3 Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification.
9.4 The use of automated entry software or other mechanical or electronic means that permit an individual to enter repeatedly is prohibited.
9.5 Steam Mill Lodges will never ask for payment or personal financial details as part of entering this competition. Beware of scams and only interact via our official @SteamMillLodges social pages. We accept no responsibility for any loss caused by fraudulent pages or imitation competitions.
Please note: The standard Steam Mill Lodges booking terms apply to all prize stays. A refundable security deposit will be required when the winner books their stay, in line with our usual booking procedures.
10. LIABILITY
10.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, the Promoter’s total liability to any entrant shall not exceed the value of the prize.
10.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete due to technical failures or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
10.4 The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss or damage suffered as a result of taking up the prize.
11. DATA PROTECTION
11.1 Entry data will be processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at https://steam-mill-lodges.co.uk/.
11.2 By entering the competition, entrants consent to their personal data being used for the purposes of administering the competition and delivering the prize.
11.3 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to fulfil the prize or as required by law.
12. GOVERNING LAW
12.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12.2 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
