One of our best breaks away ever. We spent our anniversary here and paid for a romantic package which was worth the money - balloons, petals and candles on arrival. The hosts pretty much leave you to it which is lovely if you prefer the quiet. But we did run into a problem with our pool table but emailed the hosts and within five minutes someone was round and was really helpful to sort the issue. Had an absolutely lovely 2-night stay at Steam Mill Lodges. We stayed in "Serenity" which had hot tub, sauna and outdoor enclosed shower and copper bath. View at sunset was amazing. Lodges are very well maintained. The little touches like the little loaf of bread and jams, pint of milk, croissants and were biscuits was a nice thought. We decided to eat in and went to a local m&s for bbq foods and hired two of their bbqs for each night of the stay. The kitchen is fully kitted with trays, pans, knives etc The bedroom had a projector and projector screen which was great for watching a film on. The owners are fantastic and very responsive via email (within minutes). Highly recommend you book a few nights if you want somewhere truly relaxing and tranquil.

Stayed at Steam Mill Lodges for a weekend away with me and my partner, was our first time here and everything was just perfect! The lodge was clean and very up to date loved how the table in the kitchen was in view of the lake. The outside area had a nice touch to it with the pool table and dart board and overlooking the lake which was lovely at night to have dinner and watch sunset, and the hot tub at night with the fairy lights over! Wow! Is all I can say on our recent stay the past weekend. We stayed in the jumper lodge and could not have asked for a better weekend. The lodge was fully equipped which made our stay so relaxing. Although there are other lodges you can never hear anyone else so the peace is beautiful. Such a beautiful area and lodges. We also met the owner who was lovely from the start. Made us feel welcomed. Im not one to do reviews but this was a must. We stayed in Solace at Steam Mill Lodges and honestly had such an amazing time. From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much thought had gone into the lodge. It was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break away. The hot tub was incredible and quickly became our favourite part of the stay. Sitting in it in the evening with the peaceful surroundings was exactly what we needed. The sauna was a lovely bonus too and made the whole experience feel really luxurious. One thing we loved was how much there was to do without even leaving the lodge. We spent hours playing pool, darts, and table tennis, which made the stay really fun and gave us plenty to do between relaxing. It felt like having our own private retreat with entertainment included. The whole place felt peaceful and secluded, making it easy to switch off from everyday life and properly relax. The attention to detail throughout the lodge was fantastic, and it genuinely felt like a special place to stay. I definitely recommend this lodge as the perfect getaway. The owners were so helpful and responsive, right from the beginning when i enquired, they made the whole process seamless. I booked Solace lodge for my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely amazing!! The lodge was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It’s very clean and cosy. Very quiet which is always very peaceful. It’s also close to some local shops like Tescos or Sainsbury’s. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!
